Sakiko - KimiKit Handcrafted Sewing Kit
KimiKit makes a great gift!
What better way to introduce the next generation to the joys of making!
The Sakiko KimiKit was inspired by a Japanese exchange student who stayed with my niece. She is created from a length of intense red print challis and uses denim, re-purposed from discarded jeans, as the base. She has movable arms and felt hands embedded with a magnetic closure. Owing to the finite length of cloths this Sakiko style edition is limited to 45 KimiKits. This cloth limitation, combined with our zero-waste approach, imparts each kit with its own unique character. Therefore, whilst all kits conform to the prototype style, they are less likely to be identical in appearance. Each handmade Sakiko design comes with an exclusive numbered certificate.
Limited edition: Sakiko (45)
This handcrafted sewing kit is an authentic zero-waste product and is ethically constructed from reclaimed and disused textiles and handcrafted in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Read more here.
